Brazilian Education
The Federal Government legislates the Guidelines and Bases for Brazil's national education. They also make the National Education plans, and provide financial help to the schools. The educational system in brazil is divided into three levels: Fundamental, intermediate, and higher education. Preschool and infant education is popular and common. Fundamental schooling has to have at least 180 effective days of school. Fundamental school goes through eight grades and services childeren 7-14. Higher graduate and undergraduate school is a part of the higher education. Students who wish to enter higher education must pass a classifying entrance exam.
The average Brazilian person goes to school for 13.4 years. Brazilian education has very many problems such as unprepared teachers and underpaid schools. Many schools are old and not well stocked with effective schooling tools.
